- What is the weight of a Motocaddy?
- Both the S1 Digital and the S3 Digital weigh only 7.6kgs (without bag or battery) this is due to the lightweight and very sturdy aerospace grade aluminium frame.
- How heavy are the batteries?
- If you are worried about the weight of the battery you will be lifting on and off your trolley our lightest battery is the lithium battery weighing only 2kgs. Our standard battery weighs 6.5kgs and our extended range battery weighs 10.5kgs.
- What are the dimensions of the Motocaddy Cart Bags?
- The dimensions of the cart bags are 720mm in height, 400mm depth and 300mm width.
- What service does a Motocaddy require?
- No maintenance is required, however you must keep the battery charged up when not in use and you should try to charge it up within 24 hours of playing golf. We also recommend that you keep the cart clean by regularly wiping it down with a damp cloth. Please don’t use a pressure washer as you might end up with water in places you don’t want it.
- Will my golf bag fit onto a Motocaddy?
- Any standard golf bag will fit securely onto a Motocaddy. Some very large tour bags will fit but may not be the snuggest of fits. The Motocaddy Pro Series Cart bag is a perfect fit and features a unique slot on the base to prevent the bag twisting.
- How long does the battery take to recharge?
- After a full round of golf it will take approx 6 to 8 hours to recharge the battery.
- If I only play 9 holes, do I still have to recharge the battery before the next game?
- Yes. Regardless of the number of holes played the battery must be charged after every use.
- Is my battery ready to use as soon as the green light shows on the charger?
- Yes. When the green light shows, the battery is fully charged and raring to get on the golf course!
- Should I fully discharge my battery from time to time?
- Definitely not. You must never fully discharge the battery as this could severely reduce the capacity of the battery. If you notice the trolley starting to travel more slowly than usual you should come in as soon as possible.
- Should I buy a second battery?
- If you need to play 36 holes in a day you should either buy an extended range battery or a spare standard battery. If you opt for using two batteries make sure you rotate their use to prolong the life of both batteries.
- What is the maximum weight that a Motocaddy can carry?
- We recommend a maximum weight of 20kg, which is more than enough for a cart bag full with 14 clubs, waterproofs, plenty of balls etc.
- What happens if my battery dies before I’ve finished my round?
- If you have a digital trolley and your battery does happen to run out during a round you can move the wheels out a notch to put the trolley on freewheel, this will allow you to finish your round of golf. When you get home open up the battery bag and check the terminals of the battery to make sure that they are tight, if they are and you haven’t managed to get the desired number of holes out of your battery, give our team a call.
- I have just received my new trolley, put the battery on charge and the light has gone green in less than an hour, is anything faulty?
- No, there is no fault here as our batteries come almost fully charged. Before using your trolley for the first time we recommend leaving the battery on charge for a full 8 hours even if the light on the charger does turn to green.
