Motocaddy signs deal to headline sponsor PGA Europro Tour event

Motocaddy, the UK’s top-selling trolley brand, has signed a deal to become the headline sponsor of this month's PGA EuroPro Tour event taking place at The Carrick on Loch Lomond between the 12th and 14th July.

Designated as the ‘Motocaddy Masters', one of the strongest fields of young professional golfers in Europe is expected to take part in the 54-hole strokeplay event, which carries a prize fund of almost £50,000. Other courses hosting the Tour this year include Frilford Heath, The Oxfordshire, Close House and Burhill, with Sky Sports broadcasting a 2-hour highlights package from each event.

The Carrick event highlights the long-standing relationship between the EuroPro Tour and Motocaddy, now into its 11th year as the Official Electric Trolley.

Our partnership has grown year-on-year and we’re delighted to have the headline event at such a prestigious venue and re-named as the Motocaddy Masters,” said Marketing Manager Oliver Churcher.

This season’s partnership sees Motocaddy’s brand new S1 – generally accepted as the world’s favourite electric trolley – presented to the winner of all 15 Tour events that culminate at the Tour Championship at the Desert Springs Golf Club in Almeria, Spain in October.

Players are competing for more than £800,000 worth of prize money on the PGA EuroPro Tour this year, with the top five golfers on the Order of Merit awarded a 2017 Challenge Tour card.
