Motocaddy Renews its Partnership with Popular TV Series

Motocaddy has renewed its partnership with the acclaimed Golf’s Greatest Holes TV show for a new Series focused on all 18 holes at Royal Portrush ahead of The Open Championship returning in July.

The partnership dates back three years to the original Series filmed across the island of Ireland and included the second Series that featured spectacular holes at courses in Portugal last year. ‘The Open Special’ Series is the first to feature every hole on a single course and is set to be viewed in more than 180 countries, including USA, China and Australia.

The latest award-winning Motocaddy electric trolley models – including the M5 GPS and M1 DHC - will used by co-presenters Paul McGinley and Chris Hollins during the six-part Series, filmed using 4k super high-definition cameras and drones on the iconic Dunluce Links. The first episode of the new Series premieres on Sky Sports on Tuesday 28th January, at 18.00 GMT.

The winning 2016 Ryder Cup Captain and 7-handicap TV presenter will be joined on different holes by high-profile Irish players, including Darren Clarke, a local favourite, 2011 Champion Golfer, and Honorary Club Member, alongside Portrush resident, actor, and avid golfer James Nesbitt. Together, they explore selected holes on the spectacular course, blending golf mastery with renowned local charm.

The M5 GPS combines Motocaddy’s cutting-edge touchscreen GPS technology with a sleek automotive-inspired design with a host of market-leading features, including the revolutionary CLICK ‘N’ CONNECT® cable-free Lithium battery technology that integrates into the stylish design seamlessly.

The lightweight battery incorporates a patented auto-disconnect technology that automatically powers off the trolley when folded, plus a revolutionary pop-up port for quick and easy charging – innovative functions exclusive to Motocaddy.

Offering unrivalled connectivity, features include WiFi for super-fast updates and integrated Bluetooth® for smartphone notifications – including missed calls, texts, emails and apps such as WhatsApp and Facebook.

The M1 DHC is one of Motocaddy’s most popular models, thanks to its simple compact folding system with space-saving inverting wheels, impressive LCD widescreen display, nine speed settings and Adjustable Distance Control (up to 45-yards). Controlled from its ergonomic handle, it also includes the new CLICK ‘N’ CONNECT® battery technology, USB charging port, all-terrain tyres and an electronic parking brake

Since its launch in 2021, the first Series of Golf’s Greatest Holes has reached an estimated 1 billion households in 189 countries, thanks to screenings by more than 40 broadcasters and leading airlines around the world. It’s also engaged with some 50 million digital viewers, as well as a significant social media audience.
