Motocaddy renews sponsorship of global golf TV show

Golf's Greatest Holes

Motocaddy, the world’s biggest-selling electric trolley brand, has renewed its sponsorship of the popular TV show Golf's Greatest Holes for Season Two, which was filmed in Portugal and is set to hit the screens next week on Sky Sports Golf.

The show features former Ryder Cup Captain Paul McGinley and co-host Chris Hollins playing 26 spectacular courses across Portugal and will be broadcast to an audience of more than 1 billion households in 189 different countries over the next four years, including the USA and China.

The first episode of the seven-part series sees Paul and Chris using the brand’s award-winning M5 GPS and M7 REMOTE electric trolleys to navigate the fairways, while the Pro-Series cart bag and versatile HydroFLEX stand bag kept their clubs safe and secure on famous courses including Quinta Do Lago, Oitavos Dunes, West Cliffs and many more.

Following the success of Season One, which saw the pair visit Paul’s native Ireland and Northern Ireland, each 30-minute episode will feature up to four holes selected by Paul for their framing, architecture, and natural beauty. From the rugged terrain of Porto in the north to the sun-drenched coastal playground of the Algarve, the show offers a fully immersive experience of Portugal’s broad variety of championship-quality golf courses.

“We’re delighted to be renewing our sponsorship of Golf’s Greatest Holes after the huge success of Series One,” said Motocaddy Marketing Director, Oliver Churcher. “The show offers an amazing platform to broaden our global reach, and it’s exciting to see our trolleys and bags being used on some of the best courses in the world. It’s a great opportunity for people to learn not only about the wonderful golf courses in Portugal but witness the value of playing with Motocaddy electric trolleys that make the game even more enjoyable,” he added.

Commenting on his experience of using Motocaddy trolleys, Paul McGinley said: “Chris and I both loved using the Motocaddy trolleys in Ireland, so we were delighted to have them with us again in Portugal, and it makes walking the fairways in sunshine much more enjoyable.

“Season Two is a fantastic opportunity for people around the world to experience the wealth of amazing golf Portugal has to offer, but also see the benefits of using an electric trolley, especially in warm playing conditions,” he added.

Over the next four years, the widely acclaimed show is also expected to reach more than 50 million digital viewers, as well as significant social media audiences, thanks to repeated screenings from 35 broadcasters and many airlines around the world.
