Bunkered Golf podcast wins ‘Best Sport Podcast’

The Bunkered Golf Podcast in association with Motocaddy has won the ‘Best Sport Podcast’ at the prestigious Publisher Podcast Awards.

The coveted award was achieved just eight months after the podcast's launch, marking the impressive impact the new content has had on golf audiences.

Since launch, the producers of the Bunkered Podcast have already been nominated for three prominent industry awards while consumer recognition has been achieved by rocketing up the Podcast chart to be listed as the UK’s second-biggest golf podcast by downloads.

A virtual ceremony took place on Wednesday 21st April, celebrating the podcasting success of publishers and media organisations from around the world.

From over 200 entries, an exceptionally strong 114 podcasts made the shortlist and the judges marked the podcasts on a range of factors, including production quality, how well the podcast reflected the publisher’s brand and growth strategy.

In the Best Sports Podcast category, The Bunkered Podcast beat off competition from B/R Football Ranks (Bleacher Report); Deeper Blue Podcast; Kings Of Anglia; The Pinkun.com Norwich City Podcast; and Twa Teams. The podcast was also nominated in the Best Hobbies & Special Interest Podcast category.
